Life-long home to an independent living community with an estate sale
When we first met with Ron and his adult daughter, he was grieving the loss of his wife and feeling overwhelmed by their home filled with all her collections. He lovingly called it “the museum”. While his wife loved all these treasures, they were too much for Ron and he wanted a simplified, open living space. His daughter fully supported him in this decision.
Ron and his daughter went through “the museum” and marked the items they decided to keep. He chose a beautiful independent living community and set a move-in date.
Because his wife’s collections were beautiful and high quality, we brought in well-respected estate sale companies for proposals. Ron chose the one he liked best. He took the items he wanted to keep and moved into his new community.
Once he was moved out, Ron had one of the most successful estate sales we’ve ever seen. This is because his home had items in quantity and of quality. The home was cleaned out, prepared, and sold.
His financial advisor had told him he needed at least $300,000 to live in his new community through age 110. His home sold in the 600s and Ron was set for life. He is happy and his daughter can breathe knowing he is safe.
